What is LTP Next Steps?

You finished Learn To Play. You know the basics — the serve, the dink, the kitchen line. But walking into open play for the first time can feel like a different sport entirely.

LTP Next Steps is designed to close that gap. These sessions give you real court time in a supportive, low-pressure environment with players at your level. You’ll build confidence, develop game sense, and start playing the way pickleball is meant to be played.

Who Should Sign Up?

  • You’ve completed a Learn To Play program (at The Jar or elsewhere)
  • You understand basic rules, scoring, and court positioning
  • You want more reps before jumping into regular open play
  • You’re a returning player who wants to shake off the rust
No ratings required. No pressure. Just play.

What to Expect

Beginner Open Play

A welcoming, low-pressure environment to practice your skills. Rotate in with other beginners, learn the flow of Open Play paddle rotation, and make new friends without the fear of “messing up” a competitive game.

Guided Open Play

Coach-led sessions where you play while you learn. Get real-time feedback on your positioning and shot selection from a pro, all while playing real points. The perfect middle ground between a lesson and a match.
